My wifes parents live in GA, her uncle in AZ, her grandma in Palm Springs, her cousin in Long Beach, and I work in walnut.  So our long distance was way too expensive, so I canceled it and ordered the ATT call vantage VoIP service based on recommendations, price and reviews.  I canceled my long distance and striped the local line of all services and added call forwarding.  Unfortunately I still need the line for my DSL so I can’t cancel it, and the cable company blows so I won’t sign up with them.  So the plan is just to enable call forwarding on the existing line to my VOIP line.  I will review the service after it is set up, should be good though includes a lot more things like caller ID, 3 way calling, call forwarding, do not disturb, voice mail, locate me and more all for $25.00 a month.  I find it funny that they are cannibalizing their own customer base to switch to VOIP over traditional long distance and local phone service. I wonder if it will double forward calls, from my land line to voip line to my cell.
